Terms of Service

1. Services

Project Odysseus provides private Mathematics tutoring services for students in Grades 8-12. We offer Pure Mathematics tutoring only and do not provide Mathematical Literacy tutoring. Sessions are conducted in-person at agreed locations or online via video conferencing platforms.

2. Booking & Scheduling

• Sessions must be booked in advance via WhatsApp or our contact form.
• Regular weekly slots are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
• We tutor Monday to Thursday (5pm - 8pm) and limited weekend slots.
• Session times will be confirmed via WhatsApp or email.

3. Pricing & Payment

• Payment is required before or at the start of each session for Flexi-Hour bookings.
• Package payments are due upfront before the first session.
• We accept EFT, cash, and mobile payment methods (PayShap, etc.).
• Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice.

4. Cancellation Policy

• Less than 24 hours notice: The session fee may be forfeited or deducted from your package hours.
• No-shows: Full session fee applies.
• Tutor cancellation: We will reschedule at your convenience or provide a full refund.
• Emergencies: We understand emergencies happen—please contact us as soon as possible.

5. Refund Policy

• First session guarantee: If you're not satisfied after your first session, we'll refund that session in full.
• Unused package hours: Refunds for unused package hours are available within 3 months of purchase, minus a 10% administration fee.
• Package expiry: Package hours must be used within 6 months of purchase.

6. Student & Parent Responsibilities

• Students should come prepared with textbooks, notes, and specific topics to cover.
• A quiet, distraction-free environment should be provided for in-person sessions.
• Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring timely payment.
• Open communication about academic goals and challenges is encouraged.

7. Limitation of Liability

While we strive to help every student improve, Project Odysseus cannot guarantee specific grades or results. Academic success depends on many factors including student effort, attendance, and external circumstances. We provide guidance and support but are not responsible for final academic outcomes.

8. Code of Conduct

We maintain a professional and respectful learning environment. We reserve the right to terminate services if:

• There is repeated disrespectful behavior
• Payment obligations are not met
• There are repeated no-shows or late cancellations

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify existing clients of significant changes via WhatsApp or email.
